  • The article discusses the work of geneticist Francisco J. Ayala to demonstrate compatibility between Christian faith and Darwinism. Ayala, an ordained Dominican priest, believes that Darwinism is a means for explaining the presence of suffering and evil in the world. He also believes that Darwinism is a more compelling way for Christians to understand the origin of the world than creationism or intelligent design.
