  • Resumen
    • The article reports on research that shows injecting stem cells into the brains of mice who have had strokes can reduce up to 60% of the damage to neurons. The stem cells calm down the brain's immune cells, microglia, which go into overdrive after a stroke, killing healthy tissue. Previously, it was believed that the stem cells replace damaged nerve cells.
