  • This article discusses astrophysical research, published in the August 22, 2008 issue of "Science," indicating that the collective gravitational attraction of the supermassive black hole in the center of the Milky Way Galaxy fosters the development of stars. This process was explored through the development of computer simulations. The astrophysics of hydrogen clouds in the vicinity of black holes is described.
