  • The article discusses the function of microwave ovens. Microwave ovens' usage of a magnetron to produce microwaves capable of heating food items within their own molecular structure is described. The functionality of the metal screen embedded in the window of a microwave oven is also noted, mentioning that it blocks the microwave radiation from exiting the cooking area.
