  • The article discusses the development of a cure for HIV. Drug therapies for HIV are discussed, noting the success of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) in fighting the symptoms of the virus. The therapy's inability to cure HIV is also discussed, mentioning that the virus is able to return in full strength if HAART treatment is interrupted or discontinued.
