  • The article examines what aspects influence the aging process of organisms. While the causes of aging are traditionally thought to be oxidative cellular damage associated with free radicals and stress, research conducted by Stanford University biologist Stuart Kim suggests that the cause may be accumulative damage to genetic transcription factors that occur after species pass their reproductive age.
