  • The article examines the positions of 2008 U.S. presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama on issues such as energy, embryonic stem cell research, and space exploration. While both McCain and Obama support a cap-and-trade system for the reduction of carbon emissions, the author states that Obama proposes a larger reduction. Both of the candidates support taking embryonic cells left over from in-vitro fertilization.
