The article reports on the results of research on kidney stones that was done by Tom H. Brikowski and his colleagues at the University of Texas in Dallas, Texas. Brikowski and his colleagues indicated that they felt that kidney stones will become more prevalent in the 21st century as a result of global warming. A discussion of the mechanics of kidney stone formation and the role that warm geographical locations plays in their formation is presented.
