The article presents an overview of research which is being conducted in 2008 in the Klondike River Valley in Yukon by paleomammologist Ross Macphee of the American Museum of Natural History and his colleagues. The research is being conducted in an effort to discover DNA from mammoths, plants, bacteria and other forms of life which existed in the Pleistocene Age.
