  • This article discusses the development of genetic testing technology and the possibility that a person's genetic information will be shared among health providers and possibly a wider public. The potential for genetic information to provide a statistical measure of health status is described. Efforts to develop legal restrictions on the accessibility of health information in the Netherlands and Great Britain are described.
