  • Resumen
    • This article discusses research into the genetic diversity of communities of eusocial insects such as bees. On prominent scientific debate on eusocial insects relates to whether these insects group together because of individual interest or because of kin group similarities. Research by the entomologist William Hughes indicating that polyandry, or multiple mates, is relatively rare in queen bees point to this as evidence of kin based selection.
