This article discusses research into the relationship between levels of the neurochemical serotonin and human reactions to unfairness. The article discusses an experiment which found that subjects with reduced serotonin levels were more likely to reject unequal distributions of money. The serotonin levels of participants in the experimental group were increased with the use of tryptophan.
