  • The article presents information on the development of innovative techniques for the treatment of migraine headaches. Methods discussed included inhibiting the phenomenon known as cortical spreading depression by blocking gap junctions between glial cells and neurons, or inhibiting trigeminal neurons by blocking the release of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP).
