  • The article focuses on research to recreate the gene Harbinger3_DR, an ancient transposon or "jumping" gene. It states that scientists hope to determine how Harbinger3_DR cuts itself out of an organism's genome and reinserts itself into a different location as a safer delivery vehicle in gene therapy.
