This article is a historical survey of the retrieval of studies of Llull within the Catalan-Balearic regions. Much of this recovery was prompted by the action of the magistri of the Capuchin scholastics of Palma of Majorca in the second half of the 18th century and, especially, was promoted at the beginning of the 20th century by the enormous cultural activity of the priest Salvador Bové († 1915), a contemporary philosopher who, in addition to stimulating and restoring the cult of the Blessed Ramon Llull in Barcelona in 1902, also founded the Revista Luliana and then strove to harmonize the Lllulian texts with the Thomist writings by means of the publication in 1913 of the large-scale monograph Santo Tomás de Aquino y el descenso del entendimiento.
