La presente investigación tiene por objeto determinar el ingreso mensual de niños de trabajo de calle en la Ciudad de Chimbote al 2015 según características del perfil sociodemográfico del niño para cuyo efecto se ha tomado una muestra de 116 niños de diferentes puntos estratégicos de la ciudad bajo un diseño muestral ad hoc. El instrumento captó información sobre el género, edad y tipo de actividad económica realizada. Los resultados se muestran en tablas estadísticas reportando que el promedio de este ingreso es de 279.80 soles y una estimación interválica de 250.5 a 309.1 soles; Se advierten diferencias estadísticamente significativas del promedio del ingreso por género siendo mayor el ingreso para los niños. No se advierten diferencias significativas por edad pero si por tipo de actividad, en los extremos están quienes tienen “otra actividades” con un promedio de 580 soles y quienes venden caramelos con un promedio de sólo 162.6 soles.

This research aims to determine the monthly income of children of street work in the city of Chimbote in 2015 according to the characteristics of the socio-demographic profile of the child for whose effect has taken a sample of 116 children from different strategic points of the city under a sample design. The instrument captured information on gender, age and type of economic activity carried out. The results are shown in statistical tables reporting the average of this income is 279.80 soles and intervallic estimate of 250.5 to 309.1 soles; Statistically significant differences in average income by gender warn income being higher for children. No significant differences by age but the results are different for the type of activity, the extremes are those with “other activities” with an average of 580 soles and who sell candies with an average of only 162.6 soles are noticed.
