Resumen de El papel de la filosofía en el marco de la educación intercultural

  La filosofía tiene un papel clave que disputar en todo proceso de educación intercultural. No solo porque ambas ideas, ambos conceptos, estén hermanados sino porque muchas de sus características son comunes. La filosofía no puede permanecer ajena al quehacer humano, la filosofía se vive, se hace, persigue la totalidad y tiene un carácter crítico y todas estas características son fundamentales para el concepto de interculturalidad. En el proceso de relación intercultural aparecen dos elementos que son propios de la tradición filosófica: el respeto, entendido como comportamiento moral bajo el paraguas de la filosofía moral, y el diálogo, entendido como intercambio de pareceres, de opiniones, que conduzca al entendimiento, al consenso, a la sinergia. Estos dos elementos contribuyen, aún más si cabe, al proceso de acercamiento entre filosofía e interculturalidad.

In the process of intercultural relations there are two elements that are characteristic of the philosophical tradition: respect, understanding this concept as the moral behaviour under the bigger idea of moral philosophy, and dialogue, concept understood as an exchange of views, opinions, leading to understanding, consensus, synergy. These two elements contribute even further to the process of rapprochement between philosophy and multiculturalism.
