Resumen de María de la O Lejárraga: uso del seudónimo y contradicciones

A lo largo de la historia de la literatura multitud de mujeres han querido acceder al mundo de la escritura y, debido a numerosas dificultades, se han visto obligadas a esconder su verdadera identidad bajo un nombre interpuesto. El presente artículo pretende realizar un estudio sobre el uso del seudónimo por parte de escritoras españolas en los siglos XIX y XX, centrándose en la figura de María Lejárraga.
El caso de esta escritora resulta doblemente interesante ya que no usó un seudónimo cualquiera, sino que utilizó el nombre de su marido: Gregorio Martínez Sierra, un importante empresario teatral. Asimismo, las contradicciones y complicaciones que surgen en torno a ella, e incluso en los estudios sobre su figura, son excepcionales, por lo que este artículo quiere hacerse eco de ello y aportar nuevos puntos de vista.

Throughout history of literature many women had been willing to access to the writing world and due to the variety of difficulties they had been forced to hide their true identites. This research work is aiming to pursue a study about the use of pseudonym by spanish women writers in the 19th and 20th centuries, focusing on the figure of María Lejárraga.
María Lejárraga’s case turn out to be of doble interest because she used her husband’s name: Gregorio Martínez Sierra, an important theatrical entrepreneur. Likewise, the contradictions and complications that arise around her, incluiding the studies about her figure, are exceptionals, that is why this current investigation wants to do echo of that and contribute with new perspective.
