  Las investigaciones arqueológicas llevadas a cabo en Bolonia (Tarifa, Cádiz) de 1917 a 1921 y de 1964 a 1990 se habían interesado, casi exclusivamente, en los restos de la ciudad hispanorromana. Las que actualmente se están desarrollando en el yacimiento, o bien han retomado y continuado con importantes aportaciones aquellos antiguos trabajos, como en el caso del teatro, los acueductos y el sistema de aprovisionamiento hídrico, las industrias de salazones o la necrópolis oriental, o bien se han dedicado a vestigios nunca excavados antes, como los trabajos que se llevan a cabo en torno a los edificios al sureste del foro, un edificio termal situado extramuros o el oppidum de la Silla del Papa, donde queda definitivamente corroborada la existencia de la primitiva Baelo.

  The archaeological research carried out at Bolonia (Tarifa, Cádiz) from 1917 to 1921 and from 1964 to 1990 focused almost exclusively on the remains of the Hispano-Roman town. The investigations currently going on at the site have either resumed or continued that earlier research as in the case of the theatre, the aqueducts and the water supply system, the fish-salting works or the eastern necropolis or else they have been devoted to hitherto-unexcavated remains, such as the current work on the buildings south-east of the forum, a bath-house outside the walls or the oppidum of Silla del Papa, where it has been finally established that the original Baelo was located.

  Les recherches archéologiques effectuées à Bolonia (Tarifa, Andalousie) de 1917 à 1921 et de 1964 à 1990 s’étaient presque exclusivement intéressées aux ruines de la ville hispano-romaine de Baelo. Celles qui y sont menées actuellement ont soit repris et développé ces travaux antérieurs, en particulier pour le théâtre, les aqueducs, les conserveries de poisson et la nécropole orientale, soit se sont portées sur des vestiges jamais fouillés auparavant, comme ceux de bâtiments au sud-est du forum et d’un probable édifice thermal situé hors les murs, ou encore ceux de l’oppidum de la Silla del Papa établissant définitivement que là-haut se trouvait la première Baelo.
