  • The article discusses images of the planet Mercury gathered by the MESSENGER (Mercury Surface, Space Environment, Geochemistry and Ranging) spacecraft launched by the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). MESSENGER's pictures have revealed geological features such as previously unmapped scarp faults and impact craters.
