  • This article discusses the possible placement of weapons into the Earth's orbit and the implications that a spatial arms race would have on the international community and the planet itself. The article reports on the National Space Policy that the U.S. adopted in 2006 in regards to the militarization in space, as well as China's response to it. The article also notes the costs of weapons and launches, as well as the damage that any testing or initiation would have on Earth's atmosphere.
