  • Resumen
    • This article reports on reverse-engineered human stem cells which may make the need for embryonic stem cells obsolete. The induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS) are thought to be both versatile and defect free which could make them the choice for testing drugs and designing therapies derived from cell lines that are matched to a person's immune system. The method uses human skin cells that are genetically reprogrammed to simulate stem cells.
