  • The article presents a selection of news briefs related to science and technology. A portable and relatively rugged terahertz radiation imaging device designed by Brian Schulkin of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is discussed. A backpack suspension system which turns kinetic energy into electricity is described. The invention of a drug known as K11777, which could be used to treat schistosomiasis, is also discussed.
