  • Resumen
    • This article explores research into the FOXP2 gene which is critical in people for language skills although not the only component that allows humans to speak. Johannes Krause of the Max Plank Institute for Evolutional Anthropology in Germany found that Neanderthals and humans have the same version of the gene. Scientists have yet to determine the role of the gene in the formation of language though they have found evidence the gene is also used to produce sound in animals. INSET: Doing the FOXP2 Trot.
