This article looks at the work of chemical engineers who are making progress in creating green fuels and energy storage devices. James A. Dumesic and his team at the University of Wisconsin at Madison developed a way to make fuel from sugar called DMF which is better than ethanol. Radoslav R. Adzic, Shelley D. Minteer and Tamara Klotzbach have all developed new technology that should provide alternative energy sources.
