  • In the summa divisio personarum, Gaius, not affected by alleged ideologies, puts the slave between personae. The insertion of this survey, performed renouncing use modern categories, collects the reasosns, all very minor (related to how they are intent classifiers), to conclude that the slave non habet personam, ie a "legal identity" that allows him to carry out a legal activity personaliter in its own name and for itself.
