  • The article discusses the public outcry resulting from various art exhibitions featuring animal cruelty, death, or self-inflicted miscarriages as a central component of the art work. The exhibitions discussed include one by Adel Abdessemed involving video installations that depict animals being bludgeoned to death with a sledgehammer, another by Aliza Shvarts in which she displays blood from a series of self-inflicted miscarriages, and a third by Guillermo Vargas which features a starving dog.
