  • The article discusses the positions of various candidates in the 2008 U.S. presidential election with regard to arts policy. It is reported that Republican candidate John McCain has failed to articulate a position on any issues related to the arts. The similarity of Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama's positions on arts issues such as funding for the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) and arts education is noted and their stances on those issues are outlined.
