  • The article discusses the near cancellation of an exhibition titled "From Russia: French and Russian Master Paintings 1870-1925," at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, England. It is reported that the Russian government refused to allow various art works to travel to England unless British officials instituted measures to prevent the heirs of art collectors Sergei Shchukin and Ivan Morosov from seizing pieces that belonged to their forefathers before being claimed by Vladimir Lenin in 1918.
