Intersectorialidad y participación comunitaria: paradigma de la Salud Pública en Cuba

    La Salud Pública Cubana muestra un empeño manifiesto al facilitar la intervención coordinada otros sectores y la sociedad. El sistema de salud le confiere a otros sectores el poder y libertad de acción suficiente para detectar y enfrentar conjuntamente con la sociedad los problemas vinculados con la salud. Se logra la activa participación comunitaria y social, donde los seres humanos y las familias son sujetos y objetos del sistema de salud, siendo la aproximación a la comunidad un principio que ha favorecido el carácter integrador y la obtención de resultados de salud y bienestar. Se trabaja en el perfeccionamiento de la intersectorialidad como tecnología imprescindible para preservar y generar la salud en la población, alcanzar metas superiores en salud pública y mejorar la calidad de su práctica. Resulta conveniente exponer consideraciones sobre el proceso de inserción de la intersectorialidad en la Salud Pública cubana, y sus aportes.

    The Cuban Public Health shows a clear commitment to facilitate coordinated intervention in other sectors and society. The health system confers on other sectors the power and freedom of action sufficient to detect and face jointly with the society the problems related to health. Active community and social participation is achieved, where human beings and families are subjects and objects of the health system, being the approach to the community a principle that has favored the integrating character and the obtaining of results of health and well-being. We work on perfecting intersectorality as an essential technology to preserve and generate health in the population, achieve higher public health goals and improve the quality of its practice. It is convenient to state considerations about the process of insertion of intersectorality in Cuban Public Health, and its contributions.
