The Spanish Constitutions are analyzed to study the formation and consolidation of the parliamentarian Spanish State from its beginnings to the Second Republic. That is to say, progress and setbacks in the evolution of the Constitutional Monarchy into a Parliamentary Monarchy with its republican failures. On the other hand, also are analyzed the gradual setting of the Prime Minister and the Government with its own identity, and the gradual extension of the suffrage.
