La desigualdad de género es un problema que afecta gravemente a la vida de la mujer, limita e incluso llega a anular su desarrollo. Es difícil abordar en pocas páginas los hechos claves que han llevado a dicha situación. La primera cuestión y dificultad importante es, ¿cómo define la sociedad a una mujer? ¿Cuáles son las cualidades o rasgos usados para identificarlas? La mujer ha sido la gran discriminada a lo largo de la historia, en todos los ámbitos y tiempos. Es una manera de actuar que viene determinada desde el nacimiento de los orígenes del ser humano.

Gender inequality is a problem that has a serious impact on the lives of women, limiting and even thwarting their development. It is difficult to discuss in just a few pages the key questions that have contributed to this situation. The first important question is "How does society define a woman? What are the qualities or traits used to identify women?" Women have been the object of discrimination throughout history, in all spheres and times. It is a form of action that dates back to the origins of the human race.
