Resumen de "Si pater ter filium venum duit...": L'alienazione del figlio nella previsione decemvirale

Salvatore Antonio Cristaldi

  • In XII Tab. 4.2b venum duere is normally understood as selling. The author demonstrates that the more recent venum dare means not only selling but enjoys a broader meaning includingt different kinds of legal transactions, all of them referable to an exchange of mutual economic advantages. In the author's opinion, venum duere in the Twelve Tables means the exchange, deriving from different cases, between a particular condition of subjection of the filius (the in mancipio esse performed only by a mancipatio) and a corresponding economical advantage.
