Jan Zablocki

  • The aim of the article is to analyse the sources concerning the legal regulations of secrets in ancient Rome. Keeping the secret was an obligation regulated by the customs of the forefathers. If a secret concerning the state interest was revealed the perpetrator, if he acted involuntarily, was admonished by the consuls, but if he acted on purpose, he could be punished in a more severe manner.
