A look at the research done by Polish Romanists in the 21st century and its effects in the form of publications and progres on the academic ladder confirms the claim that Poland continues to be one of the leading countries for scholarship in Roman law. A characteristic feature marking recent years has been an unprecedent number of translations (into Polish) of sources texts, usually accompanied by an extensive commentary. The main achievement in this area has been the translation of the Digests by team of lawyers and linguists.
