    Los días 23 y 24 de mayo de 2016 se celebró en Estambul la I Cumbre mundial humanitaria (World Humanitarian Summit). Ban Ki-moon, secretario general de Naciones Unidas y convocante de este encuentro ha insistido en recordar que hoy 130 millones de personas dependen de la ayuda humanitaria internacional: un desafío global sin precedentes desde la II Guerra Mundial. A pesar de la expectación creada y del elevado número de asistentes, la llamativa ausencia de los más importantes jefes de gobierno pone en evidencia la falta de interés de los responsables mundiales por los asuntos humanitarios.

    I humanitarian World Summit (World Humanitarian Summit) was held in Istanbul on 23 and 24 may 2016. Ban Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary General convening this meeting and has insisted on remembering that today 130 million people depend on international humanitarian aid:
