Among the many pieces exhibited at the MUVI, there is one, which due to its small dimensions can go unnoticed by the not very wealthy visitor. In this article I want to deal a little more exhaustively with the study of a phallic amulet from Roman times found by chance in the municipality of Villafranca de los Barros and that we can see in one of the display cases of Room 4 "The opening to the ancient world" in the aforementioned Historical and Ethnographic Museum of the same city. I intend this study to serve as an analysis of the concept of phallic amulets, particularly, and in general, of the vision of the phallus in ancient Rome and its territories.
