    Se intenta observar cómo el texto hebreo ha sido recibido por las vertientes de la tradición judía que aparece en el Texto Masorético (TM) o en otras fuentes y comentarios del texto, sea en hebreo, arameo, griego o latín, asumiendo que son deudoras de una tradición originaria del texto hebreo. Así se coteja el TM de la Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia con los textos, versiones y comentarios que se presentan a continuación. El cotejo se hace con las obras disponibles más antiguas, pero no se cubren otras obras posteriores, antiguas y medievales. Las obras consultadas como testigos de la recepción del texto, con sus abreviaciones, son las siguientes: 4QJosb (Qumrán), G (Setenta), V (Vulgata), TgO (Targum Ónkelos), TgJo (Targum Pseudo-Jonatán), Fl. Jos. (Flavio Josefo), CroSam II (Crónicas Samaritanas), Apócrifos del AT (cf. Charlesworth, Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament). Entre las versiones modernas usamos: NBJ (Nueva Biblia de Jerusalén), LPD (La Biblia. Libro del Pueblo de Dios), NAB (New American Bible), NRSV (New Revised Standard Version).

    The purpose of this work is to observe how the Hebrew text has been received by the streams of Jewish tradition that appears in the Masoretic Text (MT) or other sources and commentaries to the text, either in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek or Latin, assuming they are indebted to an original tradition of the Hebrew text. This way the MT of the Bible Hebraica Stuttgartensia is checked against the texts, versions and commentaries presented below. The comparison is made with the oldest works available, but no other later works, ancient and medieval, are covered. The works consulted as witnesses of the reception of the text, with their abbreviations, are as follows: 4QJosb (Qumran), G (Septuaginta), V (Vulgate), TgO (Targum Onkelos), TgJo (Targum Pseudo-Jonathan), Fl. Jos. (Flavius Josephus), CroSam II (Samaritan Chronicles), OT Apocrypha (cf. Charlesworth, Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament). Among the modern versions we use: NBJ (New Jerusalem Bible), LPD (La Biblia. Libro del Pueblo de Dios), NAB (New American Bible), NRSV (New Revised Standard Version).
