Los maniquíes de Bruno Schulz y Roberto Bolaño: sobre la red intertextual en "Estrella distante"

    El objetivo de este artículo es un acercamiento a la intertextualidad en la obra de Roberto Bolaño. Una de las innumerables referencias intertextuales directas en su novela Estrella distante concierne a Bruno Schulz, autor judío-polaco, que consideramos particularmente interesante para la realización de nuestro objetivo. Al descubrir la mención de Schulz en el último capítulo de la novela, el lector debe efectuar una relectura del libro, en busca de otras manifestaciones de la presencia del autor polaco en el texto. Proponemos analizar solamente un punto de tangencia entre los dos escritores, el que une el cuento “Los maniquíes” de Schulz con los maniquíes que aparecen en el libro de Bolaño. De este modo, intentamos evidenciar la importancia del intertexto schulziano y el complejo mecanismo de las conexiones subrayadas por el autor chileno. Para realizar una investigación adecuada aplicamos dos estrategias interpretativas: Bolaño Modelo (derivado del Autor Modelo de Umberto Eco) y lector-detective (creado a base de fragmentos de los escritos de Roland Barthes y Stanley Fish).

    This article is intended as an approach to the intertextuality in the works of Roberto Bolaño. One of the countless direct references in his novel Distant star concerns a Jewish-Polish writer, Bruno Schulz, which seems particularly beneficial for the achievement of the goals of this text. The reader discovers the mention of Schulz in the last chapter of Distant star, which should prompt him or her to reread the book, in search of other manifestations of the presence of the Polish writer in said novel. This article focuses on the analysis of only one of the points of tangency between the two authors, one that unites the short story “Mannequins” of Bruno Schulz with the mannequins that appear in Distant star. The fact that even a partial analysis results very prolific reveals the importance of the schulzian intertext and the complexity of the connections displayed by Bolaño. In order to carry out an adequate investigation, two interpretative strategies have been applied: the Model Bolaño (derived from the Model Author of Umberto Eco) and the reader-detective (based on different fragments of the texts of Roland Barthes and Stanley Fish).
