  • The study by Dr Bragg and colleagues1 reported a 5.9% prevalence of diabetes in China that differs from previous results reported by Yang and colleagues2 (9.7%) and Xu and colleagues3 (11.6%). This study1 concluded that although diabetes was more prevalent in urban areas of China, rural areas demonstrated higher diabetes-related mortality.
