    El desconocimiento general de la dinámica interna de la Tierra, la influencia de la Iglesia Católica, y los numerosos terremotos que sacudieron al territorio chileno a lo largo el siglo XIX, hicieron que los extranjeros no solo fueran víctimas, al igual que los chilenos, de los efectos de estos paroxismos, sino que también fueran sindicados como los culpables de estos catastróficos eventos como lo expondremos en el siguiente artículo.

    The general ignorance of the internal dynamics of the Earth, the influence of the Catholic Church, and the numerous earthquakes that shook the Chilean territory along the XIXth century, they did that the foreigners not only were victims, as the chileans, of the effects of these paroxysms, but also they were syndicated like the culprits of these catastrophic events as we will exhibit it in the following article.
