Resumen de Caricia, alteridad y trascendencia en el pensamiento de Emmanuel Levinas

En este artículo se analiza la “fenomenología de la voluptuosidad”, principalmente en la primera gran obra de Levinas, Totalidad e infinito. Aquí el filósofo judío se detiene a pensar el egoísmo celebrado en la noche de los amantes, pero también en la posibilidad de que esa noche se encuentre ya atravesada por algo que viene de muy lejos, el futuro. De este modo, la presunta inmediatez de la caricia, y la resistencia de Levinas a cualquier tipo de pensamiento digestivo acerca del ser, trae consigo una irradiación ética del erotismo: el Bien surge de esas noches (el hijo, ese Otro por el que se vive) y la trascendencia (el amor y su sabiduría) se cumple en la forma de una huella, y no más que una huella.

In this article the "phenomenology of voluptuousness" is analyzed mainly in the first great book of Levinas, Totality and Infinity. Here, the Jewish philosopher reflects onthe selfishness celebrated on the night of lovers, but also on the possibility that the night of lovers is already traversed by the future. Thus, the alleged immediacy of caress, and Levinas’ resistance to any kind of digestive thinking about being, brings an ethical irradiation of eroticism: the Good arises of those nights (the son, the Other by whomone lives) and transcendence (love and its wisdom) is fulfilled in the form of a trace, and only as a trace.
