    Cultural and literary studies have elaborated in detail, what intertextuality is. The articel’s interest focusses on what intertextuality does. Therefore it explores “Kruso” by Lutz Seiler (2014) and its intertextual references to utopian and political thought, particularly of Thomas Morus, Daniel Defoe, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Christoph Martin Wieland and Elias Canetti. It shall be demonstrated, that their conceptions of political order are not only cited and narratively arranged by “Kruso”, but also are extrapolated (progressive intertextuality) and critically tested (critical intertextuality) in its aesthetic testing actions

    Die kultur- und literaturwissenschaftliche Forschung hat ausführlich erörtert, was Intertextualität ist. Der Artikel interessiert sich dafür, was Intertextualität leistet. Er beschäftigt sich daher mit den intertextuellen Bezügen von Lutz Seilers „Kruso“ (2014) zum utopischen und politischen Denken, insbesondere Thomas Morus’, Daniel Defoes, Jean-Jacques Rousseaus, Christoph Martin Wielands und Elias Canettis. Es soll gezeigt werden, dass „Kruso“ deren politische Entwürfe nicht nur zitiert und narrativ gestaltet, sondern sie in seinem ästhetischen Probehandeln fortschreibt (progressive Intertextualität) und somit selbst kritisch erprobt (kritische Intertextualität).
