Resumen de El Plan General Municipal de Ordenación de Cartagena y el catálogo de bienes inmuebles

  El municipio de Cartag ena cuenta con un amplio patrimoni o arquitectónico caracterizado, tanto por los edificios de tendencias modernista s y eclécticas ubicados el centro histór ico de la ciudad y los numerosos yacimientos arqueológicos existentes, como por las singular es construcciones defensiva s construidas a lo largo de su litoral. En cambio, a pesar de su dilatada histor ia, ha sido incapaz durante mucho tiempo de realizar de un modo sistemático la identificación y registro de sus bienes inmuebles de relevancia cultural. Este objetivo fue finalmente logrado durante el último tercio del s.XX, siendo el resultado de dos regulaciones normativas de diferente motivación:

  cultural y urbanística. De ambas, se propone en el presente artículo abordar el ámbito del planeamiento urbanístico analizando los distintos ca tálogos arquitectónicos elaborados hasta el momento.

  Cartagena has an important architectural heritage ma inly characterized by the buildings of modernist and eclectic tendencies loca ted in the historic center of the city and its numerous archaeological sites, as well as its singular defensive constr uctions. Despite having an important history, the city has been unable to perform a systematic identification and registratio n of its monuments of artistic and historical value for a long time. This objective was finally achieved at the end of the twentieth century, th anks to two regulations of different motivation: cultural and urban. From both it is propos ed in this article survey the field of urban planning, analyzing the various architectural catalogs produced throughout history.
