    Este trabajo presenta un análisis de la evolución del adverbio latino IBI > hi/ý en las lenguas iberorromances. Su historia dialectal estuvo fuertemente influida por la manera en que sus propiedades en latín fueron integradas en cada una de las variedades peninsulares. Al fluctuar su naturaleza entre el carácter pronominal y el adverbial, experimentó cambios muy diversos a través del tiempo y el espacio; y aunque gozó de una notable vitalidad en la Edad Media, solo pervivió hasta hoy día en catalán y en aragonés. El estudio trata de determinar los factores que llevaron a su desaparición considerando sus propiedades, que interactuaron con las de las gramáticas de cada variedad en un hipotético continuum dialectal.

    The objective of this paper is to analyze the evolution of the Latin adverb IBI > hi/ý within the Romance languages of the Iberian Peninsula. Its dialectal history was largely influenced by the manner in which its properties in Latin were articulated into each romance variety. Its nature fluctuated between pronominal and adverbial, and this made it experience different changes through space and time; and even if it had remarkable vitality in the Medieval Ages, it only survived in Catalan and Aragonese. The study seeks to determine the factors that led to its disappearance taking into account its properties, which interacted with the properties of the grammars of the Iberian varieties within a hypothetical dialectal continuum.
