    Comisariada por el Catedrático en Paleontropografía Juan Luis Arsuaga esta exposición pre­ senta el origen de los Reales Colegios de Cirujanos de España. Estos Reales Colegios serían con el tiempo el germen de las actuales Facultades de Medicina. La exposición presenta tres grandes líneas de discurso: la primera el origen de los estudios anatómicos contemporáneos en España, la segunda el modo en que estos estudios han influido en la concepción de nues­tra visión del cuerpo humano y su historia evolutiva, significativos son los apartados dedica­dos a la obstetricia, el lenguaje y el caminar; por último la relación de anatomía y arte dentro de la institución. La exposición está compuesta por los fondos de las más significativas colec­ciones y museos de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Entre ellos señalar los estudios anatómicos en cera del XVIII del Museo de Anatomía "Javier Puerta", entre los que es obliga­do destacar la figura de "la parturienta", los fondos bibliográficos de la Marqués de Valdecilla y los dibujos académicos del XIX pertenecientes a la Biblioteca de la Facultad de Bellas Artes. Otro aspecto importante que la exposición muestra es el proceso de restauración y manteni­miento de las ceras anatómicas del XVIII y especialmente sobre "la parturienta".

    Curated by Catedratico in Paleontropography Juan Luis Arsuaga this exhibition presents the origin of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Spain. These Royal Colleges would be eventually germ current medical schools. The exhibition presents three major lines of discourse: first, the origin of contemporary anatomical studies in Spain, the second way in which these studies have influenced the design of our vision of the human body and its evolutionary history, very important are the sections devoted to obstetrics, language and walking; Finally the re­lationship of anatomy and art within the institution. The exhibition is composed by the funds of the most significant collections and museums in the Complutense University of Madrid. Among them point out the anatomical figures in wax XVIII of the Museum of Anatomy "Javier Puerta", among which is bound to emphasize the figure of "the mother", the bibliographic share from Marques de Valdecilla and academic drawings of the nineteenth belonging to the Library of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Another important aspect that the exhibition shows is the process of restoration and maintenance of anatomical waxes from eighteenth and especially on "the mother".
