Lecturas sobre Saussure

    El presente trabajo aborda las lecturas del Cours de lnguistique générale de Saussure realizadas por Eliseo Verón y Jean-Claude Milner. Para ambos autores el texto de Saussure tuvo una singular importancia por su gravitación en el inicio del estructuralismo y por su circulación, influjo y alcance en distintos ámbitos culturales y científicos. La definición del objeto de la lingüística, su carácter y delimitación, son algunos de los aspectos que recorren y que suscitaron lecturas diferenciales en Verón y Milner. Sintéticamente, las divergencias se deben al enfoque y perspectiva de lectura. Verón analizó el discurso del texto de Saussure desde sus condiciones sociopolíticas para considerar la función de lo ideológico y el efecto de cientificidad como desfase entre las condiciones de reconocimiento y las condiciones de producción ―vinculadas al enfoque positivista―. Milner, focalizó la lectura en lo epistémico, en las referencias científicas que suponen la organización del Curso y en las innovaciones que supone en relación a la teoría clásica del signo y que de manera oblicua introduce en la filosofía clásica la noción de diferencia. Entre otras cuestiones, el texto de Saussure, para Milner marcó el inicio del paradigma estructuralista y el desarrollo de un nuevo método de conocimiento que, al exceder el ámbito de la lingüística será considerado como un clásico de la cultura.

    This work takes up readings on Saussure’s Cours de Linguistique Générale by Eliseo Verón and Jean– Claude Milner. For both authors, Saussure’s text is of particular importance for its significance at the beginning of structuralism. It must be added the circulation, influence and scope it had in different cultural and scientific contexts. It goes through aspects such as the object of Linguistics, its character and delimitation, which gave rise to different readings in Verón and Milner. Briefly stated, divergences are due to differences in reading focus and perspective. Verón carries out a discourse analysis from the standpoint of its socio-political conditions, to examine the function of ideological aspects and the effects of scientificity, as a gap between acknowledgement and production conditions ―related to the positivist point of view―. In Milner, the reading is focused on the epistemic aspect, on the scientific references that underlie the organization of the Course and, on the innovations it assumes in relation to the classical theory of the sign, which indirectly introduces the notion of difference in classical philosophy. Among other issues, for Milner Saussure’s text marks the beginning of the structuralist paradigm, and the development of a new method of knowledge acquisition, which, going beyond the context of Linguistics, will be considered a classic in culture.
