El impacto socio-cultural del turismo en Benalmádena

    El impacto sociocultural del turismo implica el resultado o consecuencias del contacto de dos grupos humanos, la comunidad anfitriona y la comunidad huésped. De entrada, el turismo bien organizado puede favorecer el contacto entre los visitantes y la población local, lo que daría a lugar al intercambio cultural de los pueblos (OMT, 1997) además de revalorizar y conservar la cultura local (Acerenza, 1984; Benseny, 2006). Pero por otro lado, pueden lesionar en general, el patrimonio cultural tangible e intangible (Torres, 2005). El objetivo de este estudio es analizar los impactos socioculturales del destino maduro de Benalmádena a través de la opinión de sus residentes. Para ello, se ha realizado un muestreo aleatorio estratificado proporcional a una muestra total de 770 habitantes. Se ha usado el cuestionario como herramienta para recabar la información y finalmente, se ha obtenido como resultado, que los residentes de Benalmádena tienen una opinión hacia el impacto sociocultural ambivalente o indecisa. Esto podría ser debido, a que reconocen y son conscientes, tanto de los aspectos positivos como negativos que el turismo provoca en el destino.

    The sociocultural impact of tourism involves the result or consequences of contact with two human groups, the host community and the guest community. From the beginning, the well organized tourism can encourage the contact between visitors and the local population (Acerenza, 1984; Benseny, 2006), which would give rise to cultural exchange between nations (OMT, 1997), as well as enhancing and preserving the local culture (Acerenza, 1984; OMT, 1997; Benseny, 2006). But on the other hand, they can damage generally the tangible and intangible cultural heritage (Torres, 2005). The aim of this study is analyzing the social and cultural impacts of mature destination of Benalmádena through the opinion of their residents. For this reason, it has been made a random stratified proportional sample with a total sample group of 770 inhabitants. It has been used the questionnaire as a tool to gather information and it has been obtanined as a result of it that the inhabitants of Benalmádena have an ambivalent or indecisive opinion of the sociocultural impact. This would be due to recognize and be aware of as many the positive as negative aspects that the tourism causes in the destination.
