Tres documentos romanceados del árabe, fechados en árabe en 1493, permiten acercarnos a la realidad mudéjar de la Vega de Granada. Se analiza el traspaso de propiedad de un horno, tienda y carnicería en la villa de la Zubia desde época nazarí en posesión de la familia Valencí a su adquisión por Juan Álvarez Zapata, un miembro de la nueva élite granadina. El carácter monopolístico de este tipo de establecimientos, la continuidad de usos y costumbres de época nazarí hasta la castellana, o la pertenencia a la renta de la hagüela sirven para narrar la historia del inmueble hasta el siglo XIX, cuando aparece la última referencia sobre el mismo.

Three documents translated from the Arabic, dated in 1493, allow us to approach the reality of the Mudéjar period of the Vega of Granada. The transfer of property to Juan Álvarez Zapata, a member of the new Granadian elite of a bakery, shop and butcher’s shop owned by the Valencí family in the village of La Zubia since the Nazarí Period is been analysed. The history of the building until the nineteenth century, when the last reference about it appears, is supported by the monopolistic character of this type of establishments, the continuity of the customs in the Nazarí period until the Castilian period, or the fact it was subjected to the rent of the “Hagüela” (a tax).
