Parsing the forms of imagination which are distinguished in the kantian Critiques, we discuss first the variation of the manners in which this faculty is delimited in Kant’s theory of knowledge. Secondly we consider the different roles of the notion of imagination in the Critique of judgment, with emphasis on the notion of aesthetical reflective judgment, as different from logical reflective judgment. The first one is presented in its internal relation with the concept of a sensification of moral ideas: the drawing of possible configurations in which the gestural, postural and dynamic values of human behaviour and its world are appreciated and «give much to think».
